Vidik connects to Pro Tools as a HUI (MIDI) peripheral. Drop a MOV or MP4 into the window and set its Start TC. Then play, stop, scrub and the rest — from Pro Tools, as usual.

A slot is a place on the Pro Tools timeline. It owns the Start TC — the file is simply what the slot shows.
Several reels at once
Episodes, reels or cuts of a spot sit side by side, each at its own timecode. The Picture Navigator draws the whole session on one strip.
Two cuts in one slot
A slot can hold more than one version of the picture. ⌥⌘A exchanges them — at stop or during playback, with nothing reloaded.
Both versions stay open. Nothing is sent to Pro Tools and the position does not move — only the picture changes.

Vidik lays the video’s audio over the picture as a continuous spectral waveform — useful on sync effects and in sound design. Put it anywhere in the frame.
Its colour shows what is happening in the spectrum, so sound becomes part of what you are looking at. The centre line sits on exactly the frame you see.
